Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at installing the etrailer base plate on a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. Now, this is what your base plate is gonna look like when it's installed on your Wrangler. And being the most popular flat towed vehicle, there's a lot of different options when it comes to base plates. Some of 'em take a little bit more trimming than others, and this one does require some of the trimming. But overall, I really like the way that this one sits against the bumper. And overall, it's a really easy installation compared to some of the other ones that are out there. more

But first part is your base plate, and that's gonna provide us with an attachment point, that way we can hook our tow bar up to it, which is the second part. more

Demco Tabless Base Plate Kit Installation - 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Demco Base Plate on a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Now there's five main components required when flat towing your Wrangler. And starting on the vehicle side we have our base plate that attaches to the frame of the vehicle, creating a structural mounting point for your tow bar and all the rest of your components. Your tow bar is the connection point between the base plate and the hitch on the RV. And the base plate also has tabs for our safety cables that we have here. So just like pulling the trailer, you wanna make sure that it doesn't disconnect and if it was to, you still have these cables holding onto the vehicle. more

Now this is what your base plate is gonna look like when installed on your Wrangler and overall it's a pretty clean look. You really only see the safety chain loops and the receptacles for the arms kind of going through our skid plate here. It also comes with a really nice bracket that allows us to bolt up our 6-pole as well as our breakaway switch. So overall, a pretty clean look. more

Hello neighbors it's Brad here etrailer. And today we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster baseplate on a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. So this is what the baseplate's gonna look like installed and actually hooked up in its flat tow set up. So you can see that it's pretty nice and spaced out here, allowing everything to kind of have some space to work around and actually attach our safety chain loops are nice and far enough away, but easy to actually clasp onto. And all of our connections with this included bracket are really nice because it puts it at a nice even spot in the middle using factory hole locations. Now and not in use, you can go ahead, drop this out and then you can actually remove these arms just by pulling this twisting. more

This is what our base plate's going to look like when it's installed. It's going to be one of five main components in a flat tow setup. Narrator: Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler, we're going to be installing the Roadmaster's EZ4 base plate, part number RM-521448-4. And to complete your flat tow setup on your 15 Jeep Wrangler, we're going to need a base plate like the one that we have here, a set of tow bars to connect it between your motorhome, a braking system to assist with stopping the vehicle, and a diode wiring kit to allow all your turning and brake signals to be transferred back to your vehicle.Now, this is what your base plate is going to look like when it's installed. As you can see, it's tucked up nicely under the bumper, so it won't really detract from the looks of the vehicle. It features quick disconnects for your tow bar. You simply slide in and lock into place. There's one for each side, and this will allow you to connect to any Roadmaster tow bar.There's a mounting location in the front. more
